Butterfly Residence
Paso Robles, CA
This single-family residence not only celebrates the inspiration of a butterfly in its roof shape but is also designed to respond to the climatic conditions of the Central Coast. Located on a remote hilltop in western Paso Robles, this 4-bedroom, 4-1/2 bathroom home was designed to be a sustainable and fire-resistant contemporary retreat. The roof helps collect rainwater, a large solar panel array stores electricity for off-grid options, and the home is built into the hillside to keep the interior cool on warm days.
