This ADU is a modern design with a warm and laid-back feel. Standing seam metal roof and wall panels and stucco facades create a contemporary aesthetic. Wood accents invoke a warmer palette and provide an opportunity to tie in the home with an adjacent residence or site elements.
The main entryway, comprising a 10’ high window wall with sliding entry, invites company in and integrates the outdoors with the home’s public spaces. The kitchen and living room remain spacious enough to entertain guests without feeling limited for space. Loft-style bedrooms are afforded privacy by being placed on the second floor and are linked to the gathering spaces by a spiral staircase.
